Who we are
Triple Eight Optical L.L.C – S.P.C ("we", "us") is an optical shop at Nad As Sou St, behind Finance House, Defence Road, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. We are the controller of the personal data described in this notice.

What we collect and why
Order or visit requests. Your name, phone number, preferred visit date and the items you choose. Used only to answer your request, confirm availability and arrange your visit. Legal basis: your consent and our need to deal with your request.
Prescription details. If you send a photo or copy of a prescription from a licensed doctor, we use it only to make your lenses. A prescription is health information, so it is sensitive: please send only the prescription itself and no other medical details. Legal basis: your explicit consent.
Repairs and purchases in the shop. Contact details you give us so we can tell you when your item is ready, and the records we must keep for sales and tax.
Messages. What you write to us on WhatsApp, Instagram or Facebook.
We do not ask for payment details on this website, and we do not use your data for automated decisions or profiling.
How your request reaches us
This website has no database and no user accounts. When you press the order or call-back button, the website only prepares a message and opens WhatsApp on your device. Nothing is sent until you press Send in WhatsApp. Your basket is kept in your browser for the visit and is erased when you close the tab.
Cookies and browser storage
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, analytics, or pixels. Your browser stores only: your light/dark choice, your order basket (for the visit only) and whether you closed the storage notice. These stay on your device and are not sent to us.
Fonts and images are served from our own website, so your visit does not send your address to Google for fonts.
Other services involved
Cloudflare hosts this website and keeps standard security and technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver and protect it.
WhatsApp and Meta (Instagram, Facebook) process your messages under their own terms and privacy policies when you contact us there. Our Facebook page is here. This website does not embed Facebook or Instagram plugins, so Meta receives nothing from you unless you choose to open those links or message us.
Google Maps. The "open in maps" link goes to Google Maps only when you click it.
Those providers may process data outside the UAE. We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep order chats, prescription photos and contact details only as long as needed to complete your order or repair and to answer questions afterwards, and then we delete them. If you ask us to delete them sooner, we will, except for sales and tax records that UAE law requires us to keep for a set period.
Your rights
Under the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL) you may ask us to: give you access to your data; correct it; delete it or restrict its use; stop processing; move it to another provider; and withdraw your consent at any time (this does not affect what we did before). You may also object to decisions made only by automated means; we make none.
Send your request by email to tripleeightoptical1@gmail.com, by WhatsApp, or in the shop. We will reply within a reasonable time and may ask you to confirm who you are. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the UAE Data Office.
Security
The website is served only over HTTPS with strict security headers and loads no third-party scripts. We limit who can open order messages and prescription copies.
Children
Parents or guardians should place orders for children. We do not knowingly collect data directly from children.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and its date. The current version is always at this address.
